Yoga is a fantastic place to look to keep yourself supple. I wish I could keep myself doing it but always lapse in any routine seemingly... ๐
Get on my back and roll legs to chest. Hold.
Also I like the one where you sit on a chair, cross right leg across left leg. Then, push down on knee away from you. That helps hip areas. Reverse it and repeat.

IMO* weight bearing exercises such as some yoga postures & ultimately things like squats, etc, will help knackered knees by strengthening them. *IANAD.I have just started to add a lunge type stretch but my knees are a bit knackered for anything too dynamic.
