I hate that job, but I have some time at the moment. DH bike and enduro shred sled need their spiny bearing bits doing.

contemplating a full service of a boxxer and a 36, but I also hate that job, might well give the bike shop my custom in uncertain times.

wheels need truing, should probably re tape and top up on sealant. Brakes to bleed, new headset to fit (yt Akros junk needs replacing, has creaked for 2 years) , probably a good chance to change the gear cables and outers,  oh and also headset on the jump bike is wobbly.

What’s on your list?*

*only bike related no bloody fence painting or other dullness, unless repurposing the painted fence as some sort of bike sender ramp etc

Going to order a new shed and some timber to build shelving.
hoping to get up to the farm so I can help out with cutting some wood, but that is a routine thing rather than for corona virus

Nothing currently, althoguh i have a mates T-130 coming over for new mech and chain tomorrow i hope.

I really really need a dropper post plan for the wifes Ebike. But i can't see any way of routing it internally without removing the whole motor !
She's currently got my Magura Vyron fitted but at max extension it's too long and can't be inserted further, i'd ideally like it so max extension is where it 'stops' but currently i don't know how we'll get that..

The 29er PArkwood is getting new forks today as the old ones are squelchy, but that's about 10 mins work tops....

Is the shed for bikes and the shelves for helmets, race trophies etc. If so carry on.

Well, my fork and shock have never been serviced since the bike arrived in January ‘18.   Now seemed like a good time....

Not for bike bits specifically, but to make more space in the garage /climbing wall so I can actually work on the bikes and set the (shudder) turbo up

Hardtail and trail bike are recent additions, so they are running fine.

All the wheels will go through the truing stand for a once over and check the bearings

Damper in the enduro bike is leaking oil out of the adjuster, so will drop that out and see if it needs topping up, or send it off for a rebuild.

Pump track bike has just been converted to running a full length outer, the tapping noise from the gear cable was annoying me!

Going to give the garage a good sort out and re-organise, build a work bench and a few other bits.

Virus has delayed the wheels for my new build so hopefully they'll arrive soon and I can finish it. Custom Scottish steel road bike with occasional bling.

Just waiting for new tyre inserts before setting up new wheelset for big bike, and need to fit new dropper (including infernal cable routing) on little bike.

Then hopefully I'll be recovered from lurgy in time to ride before the full lockdown.

AXS groupset to fit to my Curtis.  That and service the BB and rear wheel bearings may need greasing

All bikes cleaned. One bearing job to do on a frame I need to sell, but suspect there's no rush on that one. Tempted to buy some 12 speed kit but again, if I can't go ride it, there's not much joy in that.

Test rode one bike round the house, something was drastically wrong, panicked before diagnosing it as the cranks fitted not at 180 degrees to each other. Man, that's an odd feeling.

Just done the rear wheel (bearings, springs etc), new mech and chain ring on the hardtail, might get round to doing the creaky BB on the full suss before it gets worse - and possibly even try to organise the sh**hole I call a garage...

There are lots of little fixes which need to be done, so i will be looking at those, although I can still get out to ride at the moment, so that is lucky.

I am also looking at events which are later in the year, I have entered the Hope Pre Peaks, i expect events will need some idea that people are still interested when everything is being cancelled.

We had everything sorted for the start of the hectic Enduro calendar however that's now gone to pot along with our Alps trips and Abigales plans for a year out after Uni.

She needs to get hours of placement in schools to get her teaching qualification and as of yesterday has been told her course is suspended which for her means she will need to go back next year to get the hours she needs unless they change the rules.

I need to spend some time getting bikes, frames, wheels and a load of other stuff ready and photographed to sell, most top end stuff, but I think the market will dry up so cant see the point.

I try not to work Fridays so may do some cleaning and ironing. If the sun stays out I may even get the first cut of the grass in 2020

New groupset on one bike revealed it was the free hub bearing that is worn.

So some ebay hunting for a ~10 year old mavic freehub.

Road bike- brake blocks
Full sus- dropper bleed, fork service and drop travel to 140mm
Other hardtail- dropper bleed, mystery creak hunting down, mystery clunk hunted down, forks reduced to 150mm
Wifes bike. The bottom bracket is super high on this and it has a super steep head angle. I might have a go at putting a 26" wheel in the back instead of the 29" it has currently. Needs a fork service as well. If the 26" doesn't go, it will need a free hub and might try an angle set.

Done the bearings and bushes on my blur on Tuesday, £100 in parts that can fit in the palm of your hand sure seems expensive.

I curse the Muppet who put the last set in with loctite, took nearly 2 hours to do the job

It's not an ITS-4 in Shimano flavour you need is it? The one from most of the Crossmax series.

Well hopefully I’m going to find time to actually go for a ride for the first time since December.

Beyond that, if we get to full lockdown, I’ve got a rebuild to finish (a bike that I stripped in June last year… I had an unusually productive day a couple of weeks ago where I managed to put the cleaned jockey wheels back in the derailleur *and* fit the new cassette) and two frames to respray (which have been waiting similar lengths of time if not longer).

That said, I might have lost 4 hours’ commuting most days but I’m still working full days from home, and dealing with the kids seems to be eating those 4 hours, so I expect I’ll manage bugger all as usual.

Ebike needs a bearing change, already got them in ready.

Might vinyl wrap over the turquoise bits with black so it's black and purple - the black, purple and turquoise is starting to hurt even my eyes!

Was about to buy a 200mm dropper which I've been looking forward to. However as probably won't be riding the type of stuff where it's much benefit for a while might hold off for a bit. But then businesses still need income I guess. Hmmm.

Just had a work conference call where they set out current strategy. They want a screenshot of Outlook calendar each week for timesheet purposes. Not sure how productive if going to be with 3 kids in the house that need entertaining and no dedicated office....

Going to head out to the garage to tidy and sort. Then will set up my tubeless on the new Sonder Frontier 29er. I had a couple of days booked off in the next couple of weeks to head off on to Exmoor bikepacking. May end up being a pootle around the Blackdowns and camp in woodland instead.

Have you considered a career in the Navy?

I’ve ordered a shit ton (technical term) of tools, so as I can build my new bike up without leaving the house, and also maybe strip down and give everything a proper clean, should cabin fever start to take hold.

Also got all the kit to measure every possible thing on zwift. This period of isolation may well lead to me doing more ‘miles’ than ever...

I've got a set of forks to rebuild, I pulled them apart middle of last year as the rebound damping wasn't working and never got round to putting them back together.

My most recent new bike has left me with enough spares to build a pub bike, so I'll do that to waste some time.

Finally my road bike hasn't had proper tlc since buying it maybe 8 years ago, I want to strip it and fully clean, re-grease and tighten

Road hydros fitted, new gear cables on the road and mtb, two free hubs serviced and just changed the seals on my Pikes.

Might bleed the Charger damper if I can be bothered but I cocked it up last time so motivation quite low!

Holiday and travel refunds are coming through, so I’m tempted to do my bit to support the LBS by spending a ridiculous amount of money on some carbon wheels 🙂

Put the new wheel and tyre on her commutey/shoppy bike. Clean her commutey/shoppy bike.

Clean her nice bike.

Put old wheels/tyres on my nice roadie for use on rollers.

Can still get out into the country lanes for a ride too, so will be doing that this afternoon

Going to bleed some brakes, fit new cranks to the big bike, take the cranks off that and put them on the dh bike, put different brakes on the commuter and trim the bars a tad... Mostly just moving stuff around tbh

In my defence, they were being hurriedly fitted to an old bike as a swap amidst the excitement of building a brand new one. And they were just one spline off.

If (big if, it’s sunny today) I bleed my brakes on the DH bike, but then don’t use it for 8 weeks, will I need to bleed them again? Is it worth doing it now even with all this free time?

Today is the day I go and try and remove my tubeless tyres from my road bike. Watched a few videos and they make it look easy enough.
Reynolds wheels on my road bike. Schwalbe pro one and the rear is no longer holding air. If I can get tyres on and off I’ll go clincher. Only got partial use of one arm so it’s always a worry if I get a flat on these wheels. Other wheels I have no issue with clincher or tubeless.

Horrible job of deep clean of transmissions on all road bikes/tandems (9), rear wheel bearings and freehub serviced on the gravel bike, new bitsa gravel bike built up (Sonder Camino from the DFS sale...), bottom bracket on the Etape Ti (GXP uuughhh) and now a new touring bike to build to replace the one I shortened last summer. I'm WFH and actually doing some as well... Shocking!

Picked up mates t130 to repair

Soon realised the mech wasn't happening with the 42T due to clearance issues

Well, unless I fitted an extender/goat link

The rear brake failed on my trail bike 2 weeks ago, sent it off for a warranty claim and it's now stuck in Europe. Unlikely to be back any time soon so that bike will get a full service. Fork and shock being sent off, bearings checked, new gear cable and switching it over to summer tyres so it's ready to go when I get everything back on it running 100%. The cheap winter hardtail is getting a lot of use now so that will need a new chain imminently whereas the Enduro bike will only be used for gentle rides that I would normally use the trail bike for that's missing a brake. Seeing as I won't be doing any silly stuff for a while I can transfer the brakes from the Enduro bike to the trail bike if needed. If that happens I'll give the Enduro bike a full service too but seeing as it was done very recently I'll not have much to do.

I might take the rear mudhugger off, if only for my own mental wellbeing because it looks so fugly and it hurts my eyes when I look at it even though it works really well. I want to adjust my forks from 130mm to 140mm as well, but that'd mean washing the bike down first and I'm monumentally lazy so it'll probably stay at 130mm for a bit longer yet.

Old frame and parts to create something that works.
Bleed brakes on the Full suss.
Seal garage floor.
Paint garage walls

It's lovely word you don't hear much these days. Like "splendid".
"Hello gran that's a splendid pinny".

I was going to fit mudguards to Mrs. Slow's road bike but I figure I may have left that a bit late now. Probably more like time to remove mine.

First up is changing the tyres on my Scandal from the 10+ year old Geax Saguaros to the brand new, (albeit 2 years old while waiting for the old ones to finally die...) Schwalbe Ralph/Ron combo. I may even go 1 x 11 but we'll see. After that I have some parts to swap around between bikes and a good sort and clear out of accumulated biking paraphernalia which is long overdue.

Failed miserably trying to remove my tyres from my wheels. Downside to only being able to use 1 arm to grip things! Wheels went into the lbs today, but basically means that the wheels are unusable, so new wheels needed.... just not a good time to ask Mrs W for £1500 for a new set.
Anyone knows any bargain 55 to 65mm rim brake wheels let me know.
I’ve asked the lbs to set them up as clinchers, will see if I can remove and reseat those when I get them back tomorrow but not holding out any hope. The tyre felt bonded to the rim, breaking the seal was impossible.
