What about if it's not so much impact more scrape along tarmac for a few metres leaving only scuffs but not cracks?

tbh just say you had a nasty impact. The structure could still be weakened so comes under crash damage.

I'd keep it, but then I'm not paranoid about invisible structural damage.
It's polystyrene, not carbon fibre
