It might work perfect on a tourer or cross bike - as designed, try fitting it to a 13" midget frame and it is way too long. Any suggestions how it could shorten this by about half?
Current thoughts are to twist half way down and fold over. Should I heat up wire first?

Could you cut it at the top and then bend the new ends over

surlys used to come with a shorter canti hanger. not sure how much (my crosscheck isn't handy), but would swap for my lightly used* one.

* well, six year old.

Yes jonb, but not sure if bent ends will have enough strength to hold the brakes. Could use epoxy metal to bond.
