Just a quick post to canvass opinions on dealing with Ibis (2Pure) on a possible warranty issue (Frame).

Any experiences welcome. At least that way I'll know what to look out for.

Cheers.

2pure are generally great, but what does your retailer have to say on the matter?

2pure are Crank Bros distributors. They'll have had more practice with warranties than anyone. Warranty ninjas.

2 pure far superior to stif without a doubt

We dealt with stif who had no interest in the bike tbh ..... Then it was announced that 2 pure were taking over. Frame sorted straight away , they were top notch !

Still my opinion that the owner had over tightened the front mech clamp but i wasnt the warrenty decision maker !

I have sent the pics to them, but I know they will just forward on to 2Pure and they'll be the ones making the decision.

The rest of the comments look promising so far....

2Pure are excellent, and Ibis themselves have a superlative rep (read of second owners getting warranty replacements).

Good luck and post up the result.

Indeed, t'husband dealt directly with Ibis and they were lovely, even though he was a second hand owner.

If found to be faulty, do these things usually get sorted quite quickly? I have a session booked with Jedi soon ๐Ÿ˜€

purchased one of the first mojos in the country from stiff had a problem with the clear coating was getting no where with stiff as 2pure had been given the import rights.
emailed hans at ibis.
frame just under 3yrs old asked to send back to them at my cost but got a mojo sl by return with a carbon shox had to pay a little to upgrade
just been in touch to see if they can do a maxel back end for it but thats not a possibility

So far, so good - sent the email last night at 5.45pm and a response at 9.14am this morning and the issue/pics was already in the hands of Ibis USA and an expected response on the issue tomorrow.

Lets hope this carries on!

Well here's something.... I replied with the frame no's etc that they requested - which I did at 8.14pm and guess what?

An answer by 8.52pm!! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Answer = new front triangle on route to me!

They said I can even keep riding the bike until the new one arrives and then send it back, so to minimise the time off the bike. ๐Ÿ˜€

I huge BIG UP to 2Pure/Ibis.

In Hans' own words, he'll never leave an Ibis owner with no bike. Even if you'd bought it tenth hand, 5 years ago, and it looked paggered. I bet he'd offer a crash replacement cheap frame at very least.

Top notch company.

Shame about their crazy short childrens geometry though ๐Ÿ˜›

I had a Mojo SL which needed a new front triangle. Despite being six months out of warranty, an email to Scot Nichol and a few more to 2pure and all was sorted with a replacement.

Took quite a few weeks, but I was in no position to complain. As Toasty says, top notch.
