Up to 140mm fork, room for 2.6" and 203mm rotors with 425mm chainstay....that's classic UK hardcore hard tail territory from a US brand?

Their 29 Tranny wasn't really a looker either..... the 26' however was pretty sweet.

66.5 degree head angle

Add that to 140mm travel and it's not hard-core in my book !

I'm not really massively a HT fan... but that one.. i'm really not.

Not steel

Couldn't have been welded by a bloke in a shed.

Not a UK hardtail.

It's not a looker. It looks to have similar geometry to my old Sherpa, but will be a fair bit lighter. I bet it would be a really fun bike to ride.

Odd that they updated it with geometry from 10+ years ago, while retaining the repulsive looks of the old model.

Indeed - and someone was trying to sell me one last week. It's a looker for sure.

That is hideous. I get function over form but that looks like they just didn’t really try

Meanwhile Liv have released what looks like a lovely hardtail with decent geometry and a rather good price.

Not sure on that. Really it’s designed for a 120mm fork, had a very short headtube so quite low at the front, nearly xc head angle etc - and it looks daft with that unnecessary bend in the top tube. Just make the seat tube shorter and carry the angle down for more standover and better looks! Looking at the medium the reach is also fairly short at that. Not for me.

It's the sort of bike only built or ridden in the UK because it never rains anywhere else in the world, they never get mud or snow and they certainly never ride unless its 25°+ and sunny

Nice. I think my Commencal HT looks better though and it was a grand cheaper!

Meh.. hideous looking thing with a steep HA and slack SA...if you put a 140mm fork on the SA will be even slacker and if you couple that with those short CS you'll just be sitting over the rear axle when climbing with no weight over the front. It's not very long either. Definitely not a UK hardcore hardtail! Needs to be longer, slacker and designed around 140mm fork.. i.e. Cotic BfeMAX or Stanton Switch9er.

Lovely if built up as a light XC/trail bike with a 100-120mm fork.. still ugly though!

I clicked on this thread thinking "there no way Ibis can make this as ugly as their full-sus frames... is there?".
