they've split it..!
I'm impressed but have no idea who anyone is or what's going on.
And then there were 3
To nick a joke from Jon, the Koppenberg's a bit steep for me, White Lightning's where it's at ๐
top 3: Kevin Pauwels, Sven Nys (7 x Belgian champ and a national hero in Belgium), Zdenek Stybar (current world champ, Czech).
this stuff is religion in Belgium..!
Blimey! how many spectators!?
Yea not bad for a Tuesday afternoon!
bad time for a bike changes boys - away he goes..!
Handy wall!
Superprestige race I went to (Hamme -Zogge) in 2008 had 13,000 fans there. Both massive beer tents were completely rammed.
Thanks for the link! Got the last lap ๐
Yea not bad for a Tuesday afternoon!
Bank Holiday though innit. Saying that there were 21000 spectators at Zonhoven on Sunday apparently!
Big shame about Ian Field, great to see him hanging on to the Albert group coat tails but he rolled a tub after a few laps whilst in 12th.
Good call on Ian, I missed that, thanks
Super victory for Pauwels.
Is that what happened to Field? Excellent result for Wyman in the women's race (though obv not as good as when she won it last year).
I love cross more and more.
Good result for Nikki Harris too.
I didn't spot Ian Field either. That would have been a good result. Shame Nys had a flat tub. I go the feeling Pauwels was strongest today but it would have made for a good finish.
Was the online coverage just the feed from Belgian TV?
(I was watching on Belgian TV...)
They mentioned that Niels Albert crashed during the sighting laps and had damaged his shoulder but regardless I am sure he must have been tired after Sundays race.
I should have travelled the 15km to watch but it's better on TV. Maybe I'll go to Gavere in 3 weeks....
Sporza live feed. I guess it must have been the TV feed, as there were rider interviews beforehand.
Marge - stop showing off that you're in the Heartland..! ๐
I want one of those TVs with beers tents ๐I should have travelled the 15km to watch but it's better on TV
