Said the Slovakian guy just on channel 5s benefit Britain programme!

That's where they go I'd say! Awful programme but does show what an easy touch we are and that crime pays until benefits kick in.

Yes. It was while my friend, Ian, was taking his time hoovering, and I was trying to speed him up.

I distinctly remember admonishing him, and saying, that's a slow vac, ian.

Dodgy French youth lurking around our bike shed earlier - at least, he looked like a young frog. Could have been an Eastern European though - certainly a tad polish...........

There's something sadly wrong with this country, how dare we let foreigners in, give them benefits when they've paid naff all into our system, then let them nick our stuff??
There'll be nothing left for our own scrotes to nick!

A few weeks ago I was on a flight to Belgrade and the Serbian lad next to me saw my bike magazine and started talking about his buddy in Subotica who makes a living from selling bikes stolen in the UK. When I told him "There's a broken heart behind every one of those bikes" he made out the buddy wasn't such a buddy after all.

Before we all get a bit too Daily Mail outraged I believe the prolific thief that stole my bikes and lots more in Lancaster is of pure bred English stock.

There are cnu1s of every creed, colour, gender, size, shape and age.

There are cnu1s in government, cnu1s in the street, cnu1s driving taxis, cnu1s working in banks, cnu1s behind the checkout in the supermarket.

The world is full of cnu1s, nowt you can do but protect your family and property and try not to let them spoil your short time on this earth.

If we were bike thieves we'd probably only steal 3 or 4 a day between browsing STW. And post lots of "what's it worth" threads. After all there's only so many stolen bikes you can fit on the roof of an audi.

I've said it before, stealing high value bikes in the UK is about the best Risk Vs Reward activity for any one considering their options as a career Criminal...

I wouldn't be shocked if schools careers advisers handed out leaflets on it these days...

I'm sure our homegrown tea leaves are just as handy as their foreign cousins...

To be honest the work ethic is amazing, you wouldnt get me out of bed at night, yet these guys appear to work their hardest at night, and then manage to spend all day taking drugs. Unbelievable commitment to the their job.

The guy who nicked my bike was also English. He was known to the police and got caught later but the bike was long gone. He did end up floating in the canal sometime later. The two incidents are not related but I think perhaps Karma was having a bad day that day!

They never did find my white Hustler. ๐Ÿ™
