First time off road this year. The mud in most places had dried enough to about the right consistency for sliding about and not so deep as to get properly bogged down. Got some good motocross style foot out slides going, was great fun. Not looking forward to cleaning the bike though.
Oh and I had meant to change tyres but didn't have time so had high rollers on the back, in the mud, and I didn't die 😉 Actually found they slid quite predictably.
This is the first time you've been off-road [i]this year[/i]?

Yup, first time this year. Just got so muddy round here that i couldn't be bothered (also small baby has made getting out tricky.) It's all been road or turbo.

Thanks. Yes it is meant to be fun, but it had got to a point where too much of the ride was ploughing hub deep through mud. Blobby Jr is now almost 13 months too and we seem to have a bit more free time, so drying trails are very well timed 🙂
