Currently have high roller LUST's on Mavic UST rims. Looking to put some faster tyres on ralphs or sb8. Do I need the tubeless ready / ust versions or would I be ok with the normal ones and some latex? Peak based if that makes a difference.

I've just started using a SB8 but with a tube. The walls are very thin on the DTC non-UST version, and I've read elsewhere that it's not very good on a ghetto setup.

I ran ghetto'd standard dtc SB8s on Mavic 719s last year without any issues
I now have the 29" variants on Stan's Crests - again without issue
