Couldn't find any reviews so thought I'd take a punt on them. Looking to set up tubeless with wtb tcs nano's.

They look a bit heavy at 2kg and plain gauge spokes but cant find much more info on them. £169 if they look/ feel like cheese I can send them back for free at least.

Where's best for 24mm rim tape, sealant and valves?

I've got their 650b plus wheels and although not light they are definitely not made of cheese. They roll forever and seem really tough.

Interested in how you get on.

I want a set with their dynamo, but I can't fathom why a £60 hub adds £100 to the price. I'm guessing they buy them in complete, then rebuild a front wheel with the dynamo if you want one.

what I don't understand is that its a 19mm internal width rim but it says you need 24mm rim tape to set up tubeless?

I'm a tubeless virgin, whats it all about?

It's like there's a media blackout on these wheels. No reviews, no posts, not much response to my rapidly plummeting thread on here....

Can anyone answer my question that is why do they suggest 24mm rim tape to tubeless a 19mm wide internal rim?

WTB suggest 24mm tape for their i19 rims too, guess that's normal

19mm straight across is your rim width. 24mm will be the width following the contour if the rim.

Parkesie

Thanks for that. Hadn't thought about the channel.

Where's good for rim tape and what sealant? I guess the valves will be presta?

Also - when you put rim tape on, you pull it tight, so it stretches and shrinks a bit. Used 34mm tape on my 29mm inner Flows and was spot on.

What sealant are people using then?

Are you asking which sealant specifically for these wheels or just generally? I've used stans, NRG and diy made from latex, water and anti-freeze with equal success. Just buy what's on offer at the time is my usual plan. Tesa tape from eBay and valves from superstar or crc.

I'm contemplating some of these wheels for my Salsa Vaya and wondered how they were doing for you on your Escapade?
I'm looking for a tough road/gravel wheelset and these seem to fit the bill, and my limited bike parts budget 🙂
