25 mile round the pentlands. Harlaw, Maindens, Phantoms Capelaw traverse to Howden burn then the single track descent over towards swanton and back to dreghorn singletrack. Molgips didn't scream much at all which I thought commendable. A bit of a yelp when we hit a tree at Dreghorn ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm going for somewhere around 2002 for that helmet. Put us out of our misery and tell us what the date sticker says ๐Ÿ™‚

You have a newer helmet than that TJ.

Then there's the one you broke riding under that low branch....

I really missed an opportunity there ๐Ÿ™‚

The ride was cool - the tandem was wholly inappropriate for the terrain but that made it quite satisfying in a bloodyminded sort of way. A bit like arguing with him on here.

Had to get off on quite a few of the gulleys and ruts on the trail, which was slow cos it takes ages to get going again (relatively). Also steep moorland grassy descents are pretty mind bending. But two things helped: a) the Hope brakes are remarkably good with 200kg of old stuff behind them and b) TJ's driving was actually pretty good - couldn't complain.

Just have to not look at the trail when off-road, cos too many confusing instincts. On road though it is rather fun to look around at the scenery and not at the traffic.

Ah - did you bend it, or is that the one you bought in TBC? Must be 6-7 years old.
