...when i got to the end of Ed Oxley's excellent piece in this months ST mag. It resonated so much with my experiences of riding with my son. Especially how it doesn't always go to plan (great ride planned but marred by disenchantment from the mountain biking prodigy - 'when is it it going to be downhill?')
