Bought a "new" non micro I beam seatpost from CRC & no amount of tightening will hold the saddle in place, thought I'd been a dipstick & forgotten to tighten it up on my first ride, but no the saddle worked right as rain with a micro I beam post in the previous frame.
Anyone else had similar problems? Thanks
I've got I-beam on most of my bikes and never had a problem.
However tonight I was fitting a new SDG FX saddle to an old non micro post, and it didn't feel right when I was tightening it.
I didn't measure, but thinking about it now I'm wondering if the newer saddles are a tiny bit wider on the beam.
I'll ride it tomorrow and check it out.
cheers epicyclo would be good to find out what the problem is before I invest in a new saddle or post 😡 as you say I've also used them on a number of bikes with no problems before.
