Had a great ride on Saturday around Peaslake, got a good 5 hours in. Trails were riding nicely.
After the last BKB run we stopped at the reopened Hurtwood Inn for a much needed pint. Not too sure I like what they've done with the interior, it seems a little less pub-like, but most importantly almost choked when they charged us £9.20 for two pints!
Rant over.
Can't recall ever spending any time inside other than to buy a round, always sit outside. So you where "overcharged" by a £1 or £2 ? IMO best pub in the area is the Kings Head in Holmbury, not so convenient with the car
I suppose I'm just getting old and like moaning about how much everything costs 'these days'.
Not been in the Kings Head, I'll have to check it out. I quite like the Volunteer and we've stopped a couple of times at the Windmill - which is handy if you're over near Pitch/Winterfold.
The HI has always been expensive IMO. It's all the bike porn parked outside.....
