In a break from tradition next week's pub ride will be on mountain bikes ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

So bring your peaked helmets, camelbaks, cigs, high powered lights, baggies and fat tires for a 15ish mile thrash about in the mud.

Beer, tall tales and probably some dirty jokes in the beer garden afterwards.

8:30 blast off from The Church Inn.

I've worked my last day in Preston, just got back in fact.

Sorry lads, it was great, and you were the best riding group I've been with. None of you annoyed me!

The sight of you rocking up 50 minutes late and punching the air like Sir Bradley himself will be with me for ever... well weeks.

Having seen what the flood did last week I suspect anything other that this could be classed as inappropriate.

We move away for five minues and look what happens........
You lot shouln't have nice things if you can't look after them.

What happened? Severe flooding? Revolution?
Armed swan insurrection?

Debris washed down Mere Clough and blocked the stream near The Chin. Stream burst its banks and washed away the start line.

Molyneux brow (climb over the motorway bridge) is gone, the track up to the berms is a mess too.

๐Ÿ˜ฏ

That's Jebus's judgement on the unclean and perverse, that is.
29er? Fine.
Singlespeed? Fine.
But mix the two and it's locusts and pillars of salt all over again.

Which motorway bridge? The one leading onto the old railway?

Yep. The steep climb next to the motorway that leads up to Dog Sprint Lane is no more.

bloody hell sounds like the place has been totaled. Will try to get down to have a look sometime this week on my commute, been lazy and taking the road lately. Don't think I'll be able to make pubride I'm afraid, sposed to be showing a mate round local trails, trying to get him back into mtbing
