Got this out of the box (no instructions) and there is no separate crown race, just a top bearing unit, a bottom bearing unit and a cap. Am I right in thinking the lower contains an integrated CR? In which case I would bash the whole bottom piece onto the fork and the other bit into the top of the frame, then put them together.
Any advice greatly accepted.

There is a seperate crown race - it's just very snugly fitted together.

On a related note, I couldn't get the bottom race out of the lower cup.
So just fitted the unit as one with my headset tool.
Seemed to be fine.
