No this is not one of those inanimate-object-love topics,

I have an old Marin Palisades rigid frame I want to sell, but I can't find any way to date it.

It's an older one, which I built into a commuter, but it was a little small for me.

1) How can I find the date/year of the frame,
2) what Dimensions should I supply for the advert ??

Don't worry - I will post the actual advert in the appropriate forum, but for now, I need help identifying it.

I will try and post pics later tonight.

The scanned catalogues on Retrobike are always useful for this sort of thing.
