I wouldn't trust them after a hard smack...
Just to add - im 15st on a Five with coil Lyriks.
Pedalhead - im now worried...
Just to be clear, I'm a big fan of carbon (I've got a Blur LTc), and would still happily use carbon bars. But, I would now change them after a big crash.
I've got a dodgy pair of ritchey carbon wcs bars on my mtb. Bought them for £50, think they rrp for about £120. Been to the alps twice now, and still looking good. I don't worry.
I asked my mate when he thought you should replace a set of bars, and he said you should replace them when your face hits the stem.
HTH.
Everything has a breaking point- I've seen a few big ally dh bars snap after a big off, but if your riding and not crashing you've got nothing to worry about with easton carbons-
They'll be absolutely fine. The drops at Inners are hardly big and these bars are monumentally strong.
Obviously if you smack into something very hard you should have a look but most of the time it'l be fine.
