How often do you clean your helmet?

Bike helmet obviously 😆 My wife thinks I'm odd that I take mine into the shower for a good rinse every couple of rides. I've pointed out that if I didn't it'd probably start attracting flies. I used to just wash the pads, but the straps get salty and dirty, so a rinse in the shower seemed an obvious solution. Or am I weird?

Never, but I think I changed the pads in one once after they disintegrated 😂

Interesting.

If I’ve worn my waterproof I rinse that outside and in in the shower.

If my clothes are caked in mud I rinse them with the hose.

But I rarely rinse my helmet. Unless it smells or I’ve suffered the acid eye encounter or the straps are obviously salted from sweat.

This has made me think that taking it into the shower water would be a good thing!
