5 weeks ago I got sent to A & E by my GP after ringing them,
Turns out I had a perforated appendix which was taken out the same night,
The Drs have all been great, encouraging light exercise, etc BUT have not been very specific, relying instead on such comments as
" Yes, build it up but don't go mad " etc
and when I asked about cycling again got a non committal type answer along the lines of " when you feel ready "
So
Have any of you had your appendix out and if so how long were you off the bike ?
FYI , it was a fullblown op not keyhole and left me with a 4 - 5 inch scar ...
Think a pootle along the local cycle way may be in order ... circa 7 - 10 miles but not wanting to overdue thing
