And Brizzle, Brum, Leeds New'assle etc?

Seeing the various meetup threads popping up on the front page seems so weird. It's hard to believe that there are others in the country doing their thang. Not got a problem with it BTW, but just seemed so alien after months in LD.

If I lived a mile further south I could be out having a nice meal just now, or doing the Four Passes etc. But it seems that we'll probably be in lockdown for a fair few months yet.

Are you all playing fair, or being tempted to transgress?

Playing fair here in Edinburgh. Bent the rules once.

I've ridden a couple of times with a mate - stretched it to three for one ride only, but we were socially distanced anyway, given how MTB'ing is. I'm working from home and not going anywhere, no contact with family/friends for months etc etc.

We did pop five miles down the road for a meal today - were pretty much on the border of T2 and T3, and where I live infection rates are around 100. So we pre-booked and had a meal this afternoon - I'm afraid the pub was virtually empty. There were three older guys in, obviously locals, but had come in to have a natter - each sat on their own table having a meal and a couple of pints. When they left they said to the landlady, 'see you tomorrow'.

Played fair and intend to continue.

A slight flex tonight - the 6 houses in our cul-de-sac all set up a "lights turning on" event. Everyone set up fire pits on thier own driveways and we had a lovely hour chatting across the street and gardens while kids toasted marshmallow and rode bikes in the dark.

We're in Calderdale council area and have been very well behaved all year. Sadly our neighbours haven't which really frustrates me.

We're about 1 mile from the GM border too, and just like @elshalimo we've been well behaved unlike our neighbors

Playing fair as far as I know and intending to keep it that way - rode into Tier 2 today, a road loop up to Knaresborough but didn't go into anyone's house, grabbed a takeaway coffee, chatted to some friends at an appropriate distance, and then rode home. Don't think that's banned as far as I know, though I could be wrong.

I've ridden mainly locally and either on my own or with one other person all year. Doesn't seem like a massive hardship to me.

Based in South Yorkshire T3. Played fair from the start. Our local rate is coming down fast but can't see the change of the tier for the foreseeable future.

Tier 2 here and following the rules, which has the happy benefit of no meetings with my mother, who isn't.

@tjagain what constitutes "bending" the rules?

All good and well behaved. Boarder of cheshire east (t2) is a five minute walk away. Popped there - to a farm to get our tree as that’s where we always go. Ride into T2 on my road loop. Not stopping that!

Brissle. Apart from shut pubs and not leaving the tier I have no idea what I'm not supposed to be doing. Played tennis this week, ran kids footie match this morning. Will be going for a walk with a few relatives tomorrow in the (t3) countryside.

He used finish line wet lube instead of plutoline on a group ride.  He has since been banished from the group... 🙂

I've kind of lost track of the rules. Mainly working from home, meet up with two others for a night ride once a week.

Do regular road rides crossing into tier 2, but they are only short rides and don't stop on them.

Missing my parents who are just down the road, but will wait until things improve rather than blow it all at Christmas...

Neighbours can be a pain, I've stopped worrying about it, I can only control my own behaviours not others...

im hoping more and more people start believing in the conspiracy videos and the great reset, and keep marching against lock downs and hanging out together. the quicker they kill each other the better off the rest of us will be.

Going out on road rides with my other half much as usual. Not driving out anywhere and not attending raves and house parties for hugs and spit swapping.

We filthy Mancs here are 1 and a bit miles from Derbyshire border, Also 1 and a bit miles from Cheshire border. However we are doing what we've been asked. Its for everyone not just us. It feels as though we've been in some sort of lockdown since March

In our small cul du sac, it seems to be them and us atm. Our adjoined neighbours don't give a toss about anyone except their needs and themselves in their me, me, me world. If I could move I would.

Did 100km on the road from Oldham deep in tier 3 territory into posh Cheshire tier 2 today, with one other bloke from my road club (in lockdown it’s just been the same two of us out, sticking to the rules).

I was a bit envious of the people having substantial meals b Cheshire but we got a cake and coffee from a takeaway place and ate outside.

I think it's the same everywhere isn't it? Certainly is near us, our next door neighbours couldn't give a shit. Quite frustrating, but I've just accepted that everyone behaves and thinks differently and you just have to do what you think is right.

Round here (East Hampshire) it's really mixed. I keep trying to remind myself that for every bunch of selfish twonks visibly and massively taking the piss (like the four families with young kids mixing at a local tourist spot last weekend) there's heaps of people doing the right thing who by their nature you don't see meeting up in large groups in public spaces.

Doing our best to stick to the letter and spirit and I believe doing a good job of it. We travel a little to exercise and that's about it. We won't be taking advantage of the 5 days at Xmas partly for risk management but also because it involves a long trip and staying away and in the midst of the current numbers I'm not sure it feels right.

Of course at work then its simply impossible to be socially distant indeed our arrangements for taking breaks are such that it is actually impossible to do so.

I don't think it's just covid. I think BH's neighbours are grade 1 bellends full stop.
