Which isn't like me at all... and isn't ideal

It'll get better, give it time, do something every day to push the boundaries but don't go so far that it hurts.

Also snotty here, tired and at work till 6, trying to avoid someone who got drunk on a works do on Saturday night. He was vile, vulgar, rude and letchy to colleagues the entire night so I'm worried that if he speaks to me I'll tell him exactly what I think of him so yes there are times where I've been happier 😐

You look happy though Ton, bikes and cycling is mint *thumbs up*

8/10 here.

Good busy shift at work, finishing in less than an hour, wife and our super fun 4 month old son waiting at home, the sun is shining so planning an hour on the bike this afternoon and I've just had all our hedges (about 60 metres) cut for a £20 note by a nice man in a tractor.

Nice looking bike though, OP!

2/10

Its cold, damp and grey.
Despite the above i'd still rather be riding than at the office
No holiday allowance left for the year (bar 1 recovery day after relentless)
And i popped out at lunch to find seagulls have decimated my car.......

Deep joy 😥

Good for you ton!

I'm 9/10 today - ordered a road bike at the weekend, been with a mate to Alpkit for him to pick up a couple of bits this morning, and I accidentally blagged my first ride on a fat bike round their car park, then the sun was shining so we had lunch at the Nutbrook Coffee Shop.

Now home, sun is shining, I have a spare hour before the school run - oh, yes, and the postie has delivered my lads new (2nd hand) seatpost!

8/10

Monday is my day off.
Just getting used to living in a place where high quality riding is incredibly easy to access.
The sun is shining.
Been out for a ride.

Downsides;
I'm really unfit.
I pulled my big toe nail back too far and now it's very swollen and painful

Nice one Ton. Found my old faithful secateurs which I lost last week, it's pleasantly warm and sunny and I've almost forgotten that last week I got paid to ride my bike for 3 days. All in all a good day.

Nothing special - I just normally feel happy. 🙂

Rode my Surly Ogre to work today, when I probably should have taken my road bike. My brother is also up to no good. Otherwise 10/10.

8/10. Working from home, had a good couple of hours riding yesterday morning early doors, just finished the biggest head **** of a project the world has ever known and I'm off on holiday on Friday :D. Only scored an 8 as I too am just recovering from snot infestation.

5/10

Couple of big downers in my life at the moment + I haven't ridden a bike for 10 days and have the makings of a cold.

On the plus side we're going to Dubai next week to swelter on the beach.

Very,

Had very good news on Mum's Cancer.

I rode my bike with dear friends yesterday.

And I did another (extra) day on this contract.

Oh, and the plasterer turned up to start skimming our latest DIY project.

Nice bike!

Solid 4/10 for me, stressful weekend with Mrs working, eldest sick with a fever and a bored 2 year old that hates staying in.

Work is frankly bonkers, I have to use a white board to try to remember all the things I've got going on - I fitted an extention today... I've also go 117 unread e-mails and a CRM system moaning at me. Cash-flow is shagged because I've been super busy and we pay 30 days and our customers well... they won't break a sweat at 60 so I can't buy any of the things I've sold.

Mrs Jay is sending my 15 whatapps an hour because we're moving house soon and suddenly every thing is important, she's also spinning yarns to push her addenda - it seems if we leave so much a a matchstick behind when we move we'll be fined a million billion pounds and clapped into irons and she's going over and over the same thing because panic is one of those things that loves company it seems.

My bike has developed a knock/rattle so my chakras are all to ****. That's what's really bothering me a I think.

Happier for seeing you on two wheels!

Broadband issues at work, whistled through lots of things, now faffing when I should be working. 4/10

Good!

Great news for you Ton..and for me.

You posted a thread a month or so ago on how to deal with crutches which just happened to be the day I was told not to put my right foot on the floor and that I had to walk on crutches (after breaking my Femur during the Torino Nice Rally..).

So, it seems fitting that the day you post a picture of you on a bike with a big smile...I too am very happy with the news today I can put weight on my foot and even do some very very easy riding on a turbo!

3 years ago today I did my last nursing shift, and really enjoying life as one of the self-employed.

Had a great weekend, and a nice fry up after an early start this morning. I love this time of year, and my only real gripe is that the early start meant I missed the AM hand shandy so I'm feeling a little hogged up.

But a solid 9/10

5/10. Thought my mystery illness of the last three months was improving, but today I feel awful after only relatively small amounts of exercise at the weekend so it appears it isn't, I just want to go to bed and sod everything off. But today's my working in the office day so I can't.

About 6.5/10, which is me pretty much every day. Never "too" happy, never really unhappy. It's nice I suppose, but it would be good to have a bit of excitement now and then 😉

How many pies in the frame bag Tony? 😆

5/10 at the moment, was up all night because my pregnant wife had severe vomitting (not morning sickness, is in third trimester) so in between looking after her when she was awake and lying there worrying about her and the baby when she was dozing i got zero sleep. Working at home to look after her atm and stressing because too tired to work efficiently (guess its good practise for next year!)

On the plus side doc said nothing to worry about, she hasn't vommed since 10am and tiredness has relaxed my healthy eating and I've gorged on coke, crisps and chocolate.

I am in the high 8s. Exit interview today, final day at work here on Thursday, off to Afan Friday

Edge taken off by still being full of snot so missed riding yesterday, and wife suffering with long term illness and probably at a 5 herself.

Nice subliminal advertisement too Ton, "The Trade's Choice"...

7/10

Got out to llandegla today but I'm unfit as anything. Nearly bonked and I'm now scoffing chocolate and shit on the sofa.

Mrs is in Paris with work so I'm going to be diying once I can get off the sofa.

Nice to see a bloke on a bike...

Me, I'm a 4/10. Due wholly to the moron who put his articulated truck through the central reservation of the M1 causing absolute chaos and 30 mile tailbacks in both directions.. it's still closed now 3.5hrs later...

9/10 this morning - had a lovely ride round hopton in the rain on my own.

0/10 this afternoon - got told my Porsche needs an engine rebuild, not cheap!

6/10 late afternoon. The garage I got it from are covering the cost of said rebuild.

3/10

Suffering a bit of a mid-life at the minute. Overthinking everything - friends, job, life in general – and wondering WTF it's all about.

Could cheerfully do a Reggie Perrin at times.

Today: 7/10, not bad for a Monday at work. My mood had a massive dive to about 2/10 from Thursday night to yesterday, but I went to Llandegla yesterday with Mr Pea, which brought me back up again 🙂

I keep looking at the OP photos, but I'm struggling to see a big grin, made up of several items in a photo.

Is this a "magic eye" thing? 😉

I'm ~6/10 now, stressing about all the bits that need doing by our landloard has really got me down the last week, but a while back I realised most of the issues are non-urgent. The urgent one is getting done tomorrow.

Well, I'm on holiday this week and I had two lots of visitors today.

My mate turned up with all his bikepacking kit (and a frame bag for me) and we did a first fit and trial pack and then a quick run to make sure everything was working. It took way longer than was planned... 😐 but I think we got there in the end.

Mr (& Mrs) Scotroutes dropped in by to pick up forks, show me his GPS and generally lend some encouragement (oh and check out the new bike). Thanks Mr C.

So on that front, pretty damn good.

On the actually getting out on the new bike, complete failure. Ditto getting the tarp set up and pitched... 😳

Never mind, there's always tomorrow... 😀

Not bad... can't put a number on it, but some good stuff happened today and over the weekend, despite the lack of riding (well, except to the post office). Bloody great runaround reffing the U15s rugby yesterday for 2hrs, really enjoyable.
Great to see the big man back on 2 wheels 🙂

I'm a bit ****ed off tbh. Just waved goodbye to a house I love and have to fly to Taiwan for an epic 5 day meeting-and-flight marathon that I'd rather be spending time with my kids instead.

8/10 Half term holiday and in Puerto Pollensa with wife and weans on all inclusive, so pretty good 😀

No riding though and eldest boy (13) has been puking since late afternoon after either something he ate, or a stomach of pool water 😀

Oh, and the hotel is full of roadies, just to rub it in that I am not riding ....

About a 5, would have been higher but I now know my planned ride will now include getting pissed wet and involve an extra hour to clean the bike after, thanks British weather forecasters

My motivation is around a 4 as well

Had to wait a day or so for this. My Dad's not been too well, so no more than 3 or 4 at the start of the week. Been to see him today with a specialist and it appears the old git's doing very well indeed. Nearer to a 9 then this afternoon.
Scrumped some apples from his garden as well, which I'll turn into a crumble later. That will likely nudge it up a mark 😀

Good to see Tony back on his wheels as well.

Been email back/forward with my sisters OH about choosing his first bike 🙂
Even starting to warm to a slightly underwhelming task at work.

Poor upfront organisation means tonights ride is going to be running seriously late though

I was about 7 out of 10, but then I took a call from a guy I met in Morocco asking for 400 Euro as his mother is ill and he needs to pay for the hospital.

I don't honestly know if I believe him or not, but either way I don't have the money. Or any money TBH.

So now about 4/10 :/

EDIT - Just made some appalling noises with the trombone. Now at 5/10 🙂
