They race round a lot, with the first past the line the winner. It gets complicated if riders get lapped, but it is still first past the line to win.

That Italian woman's performance there is just about the best bit of bike racing i have ever seen.

I liked :
a) the fact that riders fell off before they had started
b) another rider couldnt get on the bunch even though the race hadn't started
c) the riders stayed in the race despite a MASSIVE FLASHING red light on their bars telling them they were out
....and Hugh Porter has had it. Since his ridiculous worlds RR commentary last year his mistake ratio has gone through the roof.

Aw come on, the womans performance was a textbook ripping the arse out of taking the piss. For every elimination lap she would go round the outside from last position to almost first position on the final corner. She managed to do this to finish second.
