For a balance of stretch, stem length, long distance comfort?
For general riding, larks and japes (i.e. my bike, I ride it)
I have 140 mm forks, layback seat post, 70 mm stem.
Sometimes I want to be a little more stretched out, but don't want to ruin the handling. I also treated myself to a gravity dropper, which is in-line so would have to run the saddle all the way back on the rails, but I don't know if I'd keep it on all the time.
Anyway, I just wanted to see what sort of balance other folks have settled with!
Well guys I knew it was a niche sort of bike and that there would only be one or two on the forum, but I hoped someone might be able to share how they've got theirs set up.
Mine is pictured on Crash-test-riders thread...16", 80mm stem, layback post, 140mm forks and 685mm Easton Monkeylite bars.
Awsome ๐
130mm forks, 90mm stem, inline seatpost and no gears....
i don't sit down much though so comfort isn't noticed.
Cheers folks - that's enough of an idea of balance between lay-back and stem length to suggest it's worth trying a longer stem and see how it goes.
Alpin - I think I'd be sat bolt upright with that set-up ๐
150mm forks with a 50mm stem and a straight post, 'cos that's what I had in the shed.
have a scan through my post history for piccies.
70mm stem
Layback post
125mm on the forks.
130mm revs, 110mm stem, long layback post.
130mm Revs, 70mm stem, inline post, Mary bars
