I just bought some ODI Mushroom grips on ebay. They're in nice shape, ๐Ÿ™‚ but they have some sort of adhesive on the inside. ๐Ÿ˜•

What should I try to do to remove it?

The grips are closed at one end, BTW.

If its on the inside - nobody is going to see it, so leave it.
Slide them on with washing up liguid.

If you really really need to remove adhesive though ... nail varnish remover on an old toothbrush.

These grips aren't going on a bike just yet. I bought them to put on some future retrobike that I don't have yet! ๐Ÿ™„ So I'd like to get the stuff off before I put them into storage and forget that I have them. ๐Ÿ˜†

I usually use hairspray with non-lockon grips.

Hair drier, heat grips on outside makes the glue a bit more pliable

Rubbing alcohol didn't faze it. WD40 seems to have done the trick, though. Followed by some Fantastic spray cleaner, and a good rinse.

One pair of ODI Mushroom Mountaineer grips ready to go! 8)
