Old shed in our rented house. Looks like its been bodged together out of anything that was laying around. Including way too little felt on the roof. Now I think they fitted it the wrong way round as its a sloping roof. The join between the 2 bits of felt is going at right angle to the slope. So when it rains water is getting under the felt.
So do I patch over the join? or try and take the lot off and re do it? Or just ask the landlord to redo it, which I think is VERY unlikely.
felt's pretty cheap.
cut three lengths just longer than the shed.
put the first two lengthways along the bottom of the two sides of the roof and hold with gl;vanized big headed pins. place thrid piece so it hangs down both sides the from apex, run a line of gutter/roof sealant along where it joins the other two bits and nail it down. Use the trim bits at each end of the roof to tidy up the bits hanging down and then wrap the loose ends under the eaves and nail on.
If it is just bodging together someone else's bodged shed how about some bitumen paint?
