Snapped mine today, left my star fangled nut stuck in the headtube. Old syncros top cap and steel bolt now in situ

It's only a pre load bolt , don't go mad with it

Its only a preload bolt and made from aluminium. Grease, tighten to remove play and if it snaps it's been overtightened. Cheap enough to replace though and it'll come out with an ez out screw.

'Cheap enough to replace though' , the last time I had to buy one it was 6 bloody quid .£6£ for a chuffing bolt #tightarsedYorkshireman.
