My ESI grips are starting to give me painful hands on longer rough descents, so looking for something a bit nore comfy.
Does anyone run the Hope SL grips, or the Raceface Half Nelson? I've felt the Hope grips, and they feels nice, just wondering how they feel over relatively rough ground.

Try the extra chunkies maybe? Could try a carbon bar as well.
Carbon bars don't seem to come at 760mm with zero rise. Which is frustrating, as the Five29 needs to have the bar slammed as low as possible.
Did think about the chunky, I have tried them.once in the past and found them to reduce feeling the trail.
I wouldn't buy the hopes for comfort. They are thin and not that squishy. They are decent grips but there are better out there.
Comfiest I have used are odi rogue. They are quite thick and better suited to larger hands.
Odi yeti are pretty good too.
That's the problem, I have smallish hands, so thick grips feel too big...
