[#6583808]

Had a look at a 2015 Scott Solace 30 today at a lbs, looking to get my 1st road bike and haven't seen one of these before. Really not sure about the rear brake position down by the bottom bracket but the rest of the bike looks nice.
On the shortlist already is a Giant Defy Advanced 1 and a Specialized Roubaix Sport so all are endurance road bike as want an element of comfort from the frame .

Anyone ridden the Scott or Giant, I've tried my mates 2014 Roubaix so that's my benchmark so far?

The brake position is low as they use super skinny seat stays for compliance.

great looking bike though

Surely the brake being where it is will get covered in loads of muck and effect braking performance a fair bit.
Really interesting frame with stiff sections around the front triangle, bottom bracket and chain stays joined to compliant seat stays. Very different approach than what you see from the likes of Specialized.

The brake would be protected from 'rotational' muck, to a certain extent by the chain stays......
