I'm looking at replacing my Shimano brakes with Hopes. My bike currently has a 180mm rotor on the front and someone is selling some 183mm rotors. So can I run the 183 rotors on my 180 adapter and make it work, or would I need new adapters?
If it doesn't work then presumably 180mm Hope Rotors will go straight on my 180mm adapters? In which I case I may as well just buy new.
Cheers

Why not just use your existing rotors?
180 rotors will most likely work ok with your existing adapters, but some brands of adapters can foul the larger hope calipers
183 you'd get away with with a couple of washers, again assuming your adapter is OK

You'll just need 1.5mm of washers between the mount and calliper... assuming your current mounts are post mount that is.
