Basic question sorry, my googling skills have failed me...
To change a Hope Pro 4 rear hub to a 10mm thru axle (of 135mm width), is it just a case of changing the end caps, as you do to go from 9x135mm to 12x142mm and vice versa? Or do you have to change the whole axle?
(I realise you have to change the axle to convert to a threaded 10mm hub, and Pro 2 seem definitely to need an axle change in any case)
10mm through axle kit:

10mm bolt through:

former looks to just be end caps.
Assuming it's not threaded you need then it should just be an end cap change on a pro4.
[s] Finding the right end caps may be rather more difficult than not changing the axle though. Iirc they weren't readily available back when 135 was common spacing so imagine they'll be more problematic to find now - hope tended towards qr or bolt up in 135x10mm I think. [/s]
Seems the hard work is done for you 😉
sjs above have 1 239 kit in stock. they used to be a bit steep on postage, not looked recently.
Great, thanks, I couldn't be bothered dismantling a hub again.
Now just to find a 10mm axle that isn't the super expensive DT Swiss one...

Heavy but let's face it, this isn't about weight.
Ah, I saw that but the description said for stiffening your forks so I didn't follow it up.
Perfect, thanks ๐
