Does anyone know if the shimano freehub for the Pro 4 hub will fit the Pro II Evo hub

Cheers

Check on the Hope site, they have exploded diagrams of the hubs. If both freehubs have the same part number then it's likely that you can swap between hubs. Might need the seals to be the same as well.

There is a video about the pro 4 hub. I'm sure they mention making the rachet ring bigger and then as a consequence had to make other parts bigger.

Sorry, it won't fit. Rear Pro 4 hub bits all different from pro 2 evo.

Clubby is right, I found out the hard way last week at BPW. My Evo 2 freehub had 2 shattered bearings and the shop sold me a Pro 4 by mistake.

Still waiting for my refund a week later....

Cheers for that saves me making the same mistake, hub has an xd driver on it so may as well run 11 Speed

nope, definitely wont fit.

Someone will probably swap for an XD driver but I would stick with it and go for a SRAM GX cassette for £35. The end caps on the XD driver side are slightly smaller diameter to let you slip it on after fitting the cassette. If you buy some new end caps to change the axle type you will either need to get the driver side one turned down slightly or Tweeks stock the XD driver specific ones separately.

I used the opportunity to change the broken aluminium one for a steel one.

Should have just gone Sram XD, but would have needed to get the end cap, cassette and freehub.

Dave I've messaged you

Yea for me I'll need a new cassette, derailleur and shifter but is it worth changing from 1x10 11-40 to 11 speed, will I notice a considerable advantage?
