I bought a pair of pro 4 hubs a while back now. Boost rear but I bought non boost front at the time as I was using non boost forks.
Are front hubs all the same and just the end caps which make them boost?
Thanks
nope... you need to space the disc also
i used a universal kit from wiggle, a couple of quids worth
i think wolf tooth and someone else may make a more elegant kit
No it's a different hub shell, Hope make a boost converter end cap that just requires a re-dish or if new fork is Rockshox and you want torque caps you can buy a boost kit that has both end caps but still need to re-dish the wheel.
Ignore first reply as does not apply to hope hubs any more. Hope make a proper conversion kit for the pro 4 (and 2) that just requires a slight redish. They do two versions, normal or torque cap. The disc stays in the right place and the non disc side gets a longer end cap. This gives not restriction in max disc size (where spaced conversions do).
Thanks guys, was hoping it was just the end caps that make them boost and it wasn't a different hub shell. Think I'll sell these a re-lace my wheels with pro 5's.
Going off topic. Anyone gone from pro 4 to pro 5 and notice them being less draggy?

The fronts definitely aren't
HTH
Gone for the drastic n spendy option, why not, YOLO.
Just buy this end cap for £10 (assuming you have 15mm already) and redish. Job jobbed.
