are the rear pro 2 hubs easy to take apart mine has gone quiet. lbs want £15 2 do it but want to try it myself. was told it will be the springs do i need any special tools for the job. any advice or tips appreciated

Yes very easy. MBR did a guide in one of the last few editions. End caps are a ball ache to get off though.

i see that on the hope site looks like they could be a pain .iam hopeing to be able to use a screwdriver to get them off

free can sometimes be difficult to get off as the endcaps can be very tight. I just took my cassette off and then pulled it off using a rag to protect my hands (i put the lockring back on so i had somthing to grip onto). Just make sure you do it somewhere contained as there is a washer inside which you dont want to lose! It is very easy to do tho.

is it only the driveside cap that needs to come off
