I really like 7degree back sweep on my bars having tried a few others.

Noticed that the Hope 35 bars also use the same back and up sweep.

Anyone tried the hope bars? Both bars probably be paired with hope stem as not too keen on the renthal ones.

Both pretty different looks wise!

Or if anyone knows of any bars that have the same sweep?

I have the normal Hope (31.8mm) bars. Over 3 years old with no issues, and they look lovely.

The Hopes are the only bars made in the UK, so less shipping miles and spot on quality control. Rentals might be a bit lighter, depending on version.

Especially if you are getting a Hope stem, get the Hope bars. Really really nice finishing too.

Have a look at the other 'which bars?' thread...

Thanks @teethgrinder

Nice to hear still going strong. Only seen pics of the bars and not in the flesh yet. Is the carbon weave quite subtle?

My only contribution is that Renthal 35mm bars are the stiffest carbon bars I've ever tried. They took chunks out of my palms in just days of riding

I have the Hope 31.8 bars and as said, the quality is outstanding. But I do find them a bit harsh compared to my Renthal ally bars. I read somewhere that the 35s are a bit more compliant.

Neither - I'd get the one up carbon bars.

Having used both alloy and carbon Renthals I'd go for alloy every time with 35mm bars

I’m after 7degree back sweep as find they suit my wrist position.

To be fair, maybe I’m just not used to other carbon bars but not found the 35 carbon lites to kill my hands.

OneUp are 8degree so not sure how much difference that will make. However I couldn’t get on with 9degree at all.

bar roll can make a huge difference as will brake lever angle and distance. Don't just blame the sweep of the bar.

And you can't mess around too much with the roll on the One-ups or you put the flex zone out of the right axis.

They are great bars too, and offer something different with the flex zones. If you are going to buy far east bars then the OneUps are amazing, but if the sweep on the Hopes is bang on, get them and save the Co2. It's COP week n all.

If you’re going carbon (I don’t personally) then I prefer the One Up bars I’ve tried to anything else. But out of all the bars I’ve ever tried I’d go Renthal Fatbars in aluminium every time
