Anyone using Hope floating rotors with Avid Elixirs? Do they fit/work OK? Notice any difference to the Avid G3 rotors?
I have Hope floaters on Avid Juicy's so similar. Work better than the old solid Avid rotors - more power although I don't know why. Have to saw the tabs off the pads on Juicys but if Elixirs are top loading then not an issue.
HI I have just fitted Hope floaters to my 2010 stumpy fsr which has avid Elixirs. They fitted straight on no problem. I have read that on some bike there are clearance issues between the brake mount and the rivots on the rotors. I alos read people taking a file to the their break mount brackets to solve the problem. I have found that they are less prone to disc warping and they seem more progressive on technichal down hill. And they look good in red.
