I have XTR brakes and calipers and wanted to increase the front 160 disk.
I ordered a 20mm+ adapter and had a Hope floating rotor spare but the rotor is a 183mm and doesn't fit. Do you get floating 180s?

yes you can, but i have ran 183's without issues its only 1.5mm different and am supprised if the outer rubs on the caliper? To get some of the 1.5mm back make sure you hold the caliper up/out so its as far away from the hub centre as possible before nipping the screws up, the slack around the bolts will give you some.

Doh, didn't think to look beyond CR. I've found them here too.

I've got a spare 180 and 160 floating sat in the garage doing nothing. Blue middles. Make me an offer!

Unfortunately the 1.5mm does rub hard on the XTR 960 calipers. Look on classifieds soon for brand new 183mm floating rotor (RED)

I've got a 180 floating but the rivets holding the disc to the ali spider hit the caliper on my XT 760 brakes (same caliper as xtr 960 i think) so I'd stick with a standard rotor if I were you - unless you can try before you buy ๐Ÿ™‚

Just put an extra washer or 2 between the caliper and the mount. That'll give you the extra 1.5mm. It's what I do.

Assuming it's a post mount caliper not an IS one.

XTR IS caliper on the front? Sounds unusual, however, I beg your pardon.
