Going to build a new beast lamp with a P7 seoul LED. I've seen led-tech.de do 2.8A power supplies but they don't appear to have a switch down capability. I'd like to turn it down to 1A for a dimmed on-road battery saver mode.
Anyone know what options are out there which will do this?

have a look at either the cutter or dealextreme websites I am sure they do regulated drivers for the P7

I think 4 Cree's would be better than one P7.

I used the very similar MCE Led that I got from cutter - because you can get it series wired it runs at 700mamp so you can use a greater range of drivers - I used the taskled Bflex
