Camp on the Gower, or West wales and you have Afan and Brechfa close by.

Will you be on your own or taking partner/kids with you?

If your partner is an outdoorsy type then you owe it to yourself to go to Snowdonia. It's the most beautiful and atmospheric bit of Britain I've ever seen.

Bleak and not at all 'chocolate boxy' like the Lakes, the White Peak or the Cotawolds, but as a proper outdoor adventure playground it's amazing. Not as many midges as Scotland either!
Not that much for the non walker/cyclist/climber though.

Can't recommend a caravan site though, sure someone on here (Terrahawk?) will be able to.

Presumably you arent just on a trail centre tour? Definitely stay in Snowdonia. Loads of campsites around Beddgelert, Capel Curig and Betws. Cae Du is a good one with pubs near by and a stunning location near Snowdon. Book in advance though.

Mid Wales worth a trip too, couple of days riding around Rhayader would show you a different side of Wales.

As the guy says above, less to do for non outdoorsy types in N Wales than, say, the Lakes. There are some good beaches though, and places like Beaumaris and Portmierion. Plus various copper, slate mines and Electric Mountain of course....

I was just going to say have you considered mid Wales. If you value peace and quiet we've got loads! ๐Ÿ˜‰
