There has been a little bit of time for people to test the high roller 2 now, how does it compare to the OG?
Is mud shedding a lot better on the 2?
Do they actually feel different from one another?
I took the plunge anyway, went for a proper ride last night.
They're bloody awesome.
Went from a pair of swampys, super tacky front, 60a rear, to a pair of 60 exo protection high roller 2s.
Ride was laybower, some of the dirt (muddy) stuff as well as the beast.
In the mud, had more grip in the rear maybe not so much outright grip on the front, but felt totally in control. Certainly a whole lot better than regular high rollers. I was amazed by the braking traction in the gloop. Climbing in the gloop is better with the high roller 2 vs a swampy and OG high roller, hooked up on edges really well.
On the sandy stuff, turning felt amazing, no problems on rocks, lots of grip.
So high roller 2 VS-
OG high roller - i rekon slightly slower rolling, better turning, better traction climbing, no competition in the mud, the high roller 2 blows away the og high roller in the mud.
Swampys - More climbing traction, less outright grip on the front, actually turns better and feels nicer. Obviously so much better than the swampy on firm ground.
