Hi,

How does the new HRII measure up compared to the old 2.35" please? Wondering whether to go 2.3 or 2.4"...

Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

2.3" comes up at just under 2.3" on a 26" Flow. All the new Maxxis seem to be much nearer spec'd size now.

Were they bigger or smaller than spec before?

I like the 2.3 3C on the front. Initially it looked small but that was because i was used to having a Magic Mary on there.

Cool thanks. So if my logic is correct, piecing the clues together, they were smaller before and now they are closer to spec then the new 2.3" is closer to the old 2.35" and 2.4" is really fat ๐Ÿ™‚

They are better but recently a 2.35 Schwalbe Magic Mary has been the biggest tyre I've had in a long time...bigger than (old) 2.5 Minions, bigger than the new 2.3 Maxxis HR-2, bigger than a 2.4 Ardent....a really big tyre in other words!

On a Flow EX rim the old 2.35 and new 2.4 have the same width, but the 2.4 is about 10mm taller.

No idea about the 2.3.
