Negotiated the purchase of a new bike with SWMBO so just need to decide what. Currently waiting on the Edinburgh Bicycle sale on the 28th to see if there are any deals on carbon stumpie FSR's.

I'm sort of sorted but a Pugsley, a Dare, a Supercross Mk1 and a tandem would be lovely.

You see, I keep thinking I have a bike for every type of riding I do, but then something like the Pugsley comes along and throws that into disarray....

Other than that, a new Cube Agree GTC to replace the Cayo.

druid - I've been a naughty girl this year and the only way I will get a road bike is by selling the mtb's. And I want carbon. 🙄

Ask me in a year's time!

The newer chainstays for my Hemlock. And if money allows a set of BOS Devilles. And maybe some monkeylite DHs or the new Easton carbon AM bar for the Mmmbop.

A roadie, a new set of wheels for the XC bike as the current ones are wrecked, and a new frame for the XC bike. Very close to buying a reduced Scandal frame from On-One.

Me too. Though the whippets new paint job is very tempting. Would just need a lovely set of white/red SIDs. Hmmm just mentally spent £800....

decent wheels for the pig and 150 u-turn revs + dropper for the 5.

Failing that an old alpinestars frame.

Dear Santa - please may I have some dusty trails. I've been good this year but I'm fed up with the ice already and I fear we've got months of it to come yet.

If you can't magic that up, then +1 for the Whippet paintjob 😀

Nice and simple really, some Charge Slice bars and a pair of Cane Creek 200TT brake levers for my Langster would be good.

Burls custom Ti 29er.

De Salvo custom Ti cross bike with disc mounts and Spectrum paint job.

Closer to fruition is the rebuild of my old Ibis Silk Ti - Schwalbe Spikers arrived yesterday. Woo and indeed hoo! It's going to be the ice bike of much justice. Soft tail to minimise faff and damage to rear shock from all the salt on the roads.

Ever since I sold my old Stinky Six, I've regretted it. So either a new Stinky or a late model Coiler. Way too much bike for what I need but by Merlin's beard I loved that bike.

Dear Santa,

This year I've been an awfully good boy and all I want for Christmas is a Surly Pugsley (size 20" please).

Yours faithfully,
Cuppa T.

P.s. What was with the coal last year? Low blow man!

I was finally tipped over the edge by the Boardman Team Carbon being down from £1200 to £900 at the moment, so hopefully there should be one of those under the tree for me tomorrow. Was considering blowing a lot more on a Ti road bike but had concerns about wether I'd use it enough to justify it, so will spend the difference on MTB bits (or maybe a frame) instead.

I need to get rid of bikes, not get more.

Oh alright then, I'll have a carbon Zesty if you insist.

Oldgit, I'm sure there is more clearance than it looks. That black bike was Justin Spinelli's and he races in New England (was on Richard Sachs' team this year).

I'm hankering after somekind of Garminesque bike GPS computermibob..

Haven't decided what to get though...something that will allow me to download trails/routes around the Surrey Hills and bomb about without having to look at maps.

After a road ride with a mate on a geared bike, I'm thinking I need to jack my SS bike in for a geared! Are there any good 120mm roadie hub gears?

I was, er, have been, or maybe am, very tempted by some of the Santa Cruz ex-demo bike sales ... don't tell the other half though 😉 .. oops, she's probably reading this right now 😆

Another one for something Santa Cruz-esque - Blur LT Carbon would be luuurvely but would mean putting the VT out to pasture. Or not - bigger garage maybe too?

Oh, and something fat (other than what's round my middle) would be fun.

Brand new Orange Blood or Alpine 160 😈
Summer trip (first time) to Alps

That's all...

I'd like a hardtail with gears... A Dialled PA would be ideal, however I can't really afford one at the moment 🙁 So a new BB (Royce), and a set of those new x-lite carbon forks for my Simple would be fantastic.

I could do with another set of wheels for the existing beast - 819s on a hope rear & whatever Lefty hub I can get hold of most likely, though I like the look of the DT Tricon XM1550s which now come with a Lefty front option (but they are frantically expensive).

A Fat Bike would be: nice, interesting, different, bit of a challenge to make up. Now which one, decisions decisions; Salsa, Surly, Sandman and so many more...........

I would like peace on earth. An end to all suffering - human and animal. Endless snow-covered trails. Penguins in the back yard. And for someone on this forum to occasionally talk about riding rather than more and more expensive parts and bikes and components and cars. Especially the bloody cars. Did Santa really die for this?

For benjag

Bike Forum – discussion about bikes and riding

and
Chat Forum – off topic discussion

I'm not seeing the word Mountain in either of those descriptions

A bit more mundane, but after seeing the state my lovely XTR-equipped Ti hardtail is getting into with commuting in this weather, I'm seriously considering a low(ish) cost Alfine hubbed commuter.
