Further to this thread last week, still looking for tips.
Eastern slopes of Helvellyn look like fun on the map, but the weather forecast isn't great for Wednesday/Thursday.
Not a huge fan of trail centres but Whinlatter's an option.
Or should I be sticking to bridleways lower down?
Probably on me tod unless anyone on here is up for a run out.
tour of borrowdale is pretty low level?
Ride the lower level bridleways around ambleside and Loughrigg?
Will bear those in mind, thanks.
I'd vote for ambleside-loughrigg-elterwater-little langdale-high oxen-iron keld-loughrigg type loop, it will afford you some shelter, there is none to be had on helvellyn. Whinlatter is great for 2 or 3 hrs if you want a shorter days riding.
