Can anyone recommend a good branch with an interested flexible set of staff to build/organise a bike for C2W?

I've asked an independent, and they've (very politely) declined, saying that the won't be able to supply what I want for under £1000, because they need to allow for the x% cut to halfords, for accepting their voucher, even if they charged me separately for the build up labour.

They've recommended trying halfords who won't have the x% cut issue, so I'm after a helpful branch! Frame supplier is happy to deal with them, so I just need a chap(ess) at a branch that cares.

Any recommendations?

Ta.

Not in Central London but... in Twickenham there's a branch and whenever I popped in they were very helpful. Plenty to choose from, knowledgeable staff, good transport to Twicks (trains from Waterloo).
