was giving the bike a clean earlier and decided to get all the crap from inside the gear indicator window by dismantling it,i now can't get it back together,i can't seem to figure out where the little spring goes,can anyone please help?

i once did that, so I took the other one apart so i could see where the spring went......under the fridge I think....new pair of shifters in my case then 🙂
unfortunately it's 1x9 so i aint got another to check.
I'm guessing that the little spring is from the barrel adjuster, not from inside the shifter.
no it just moves the indicator in the pod.
Just leave the indicators off?
