As long as the marks themselves are not expanding or rough in anyway to 'upset' the seal itself upon compression etc. Would the amount (if any at all) of air psi escaping as the marks passes the seal create air loss over time or are the air cartridges on Pike airs sealed within the lower anyway so no worries?
Only one mark seems to have gone through the anodised/finished surface:

Edit- Flickr cant zoom in/do the marks justice
Goosed mate. I'll take 'em off your hands for spares for a fiver
1. Air pressure is sealed within the stanchion so not relevant
2. there's R**K all oil by the upper seal anyway and damping oil is within the stanchion.
3. I think it's your photography to blame!
they've had it, you'll be needing a new bike. stick the whole lot on the classifieds, accept an offer then change your mind ๐
No no TJ- thinking of buying them like that. If its a sealed cartridge then fine/great/nay worries. Similar thing happened to a pair of Fox 36's I onced owned (left wheel ontop of the forks in the back of the car).
Edit: LOL you lot ๐
they knackered, they are only good for spares now. Jesus you must be rad to the max dude to kill those forks with your AWESOME ability, respect............... ๐
Richc, firstly I love you dude. Always have. Secondly, I havent bought them yet ๐
Hora,
The main thing you do need to be worried about with scratched / damaged stantions is that they will eventually carry dirt passed the seals, it does not take much to wreck a stantion too! Especially in the UK.
I need forks asap. My Lyriks need to go back to their maker with a frozen compression dial ๐
