So my kneepads have started to rub and I know the obvious answer is to replace them, but as they still fit really well and aren't looking too shabby I'm loath to splash out another £90 to replace them. Therefore I'm looking for ideas on how to stop them rubbing.

My first thought is to put a lycra sleeve on underneath the pad, but as its a knee pad I can't find anything suitable- anyone know where I could get a very thin lycra sleeve or a lycra tubular bandage type thing?

Get some cheap kneewarmers/armwarmers and cut them down?

Took me a while to work out why you were trying to fix your brakes with a bit of fabric. 🙂

Yeah I don't think 3/4 bib shorts are the answer, I'm a sweaty bastard so need as much exposed skin as possible.

Sudocreme or chamois cream works for me

I had exactly the same problem. Bought a stretchy knee bandage from boots. Long enough to cut in half and protect both knees, just shorted than the pad itself. Sorted the problem for me.

DO NOT use the legs you've cut off the mrs best tights. Not only are they insanely slippery she will notice they've gone

So I'm told
