Been offered a set of hope M4 brakes with 203mm rotors. They were on some boxxer forks, so what caliper half or adaptor will I need to fit them to my Fox Vanillas with post mount?

http://www.hopegb.com/voir_hbm_image__tgrandeimage_1.html This would suggest brake mount D
BUT
http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/hope-brake-mount-post-caliper-boxxer-mount-d-id39063.html
That suggests the exact opposite!

So which do I need?

The Hope website was correct when I fitted the Tech M4 onto my Helius. I used a 160mm rotor, though - just don't need any more.

I think its pertinent to say that the brakes currently have the boxxer "caliper half" fitted. So..............

A good starting point would be to find out exactly what type of caliper it is i.e. Mono M4,Post mount or IS(and which number), it's totally pointless suggesting part no's if we dont know what they'll be fitted to.

Well if anyone knows what caliper half would fit post mount with a 203mm disc or just a list of what all the caliper half numbers mean then I would be sorted. I can only find old post on forums with google and someone always directs them to a now dead link.

If it's a half caliper M4 then it's the silver job with a small and a large piston on each side. I'd worry about the caliper half first, then find the adaptor to fit. With a Boxxer caliper, that's all it will fit. You either need a post mount caliper half and a set up adaptor to whatever size rotor you want to a number 3 caliper which would normally go with a 185 rotor, however, the adaptor to swith to post mount will add 20mm. See what caliper halves you can find first.
