obviously being a bit thick here, but can't work this out
new front wheel arrives today, with SLX 20mm hub (splined)
new front disc rotor (bought "SLX" splined) arrives simultaneously
lockring that comes with disc rotor is too small in diameter to fit over the 20mm axle sleeve and hence actually lock the rotor on
This seems a little odd, bearing in mind that SLX front hubs (I believe) only come in 20mm, so why would the lockring that comes with the "SLX" branded rotor not be compatible with 20mm.
... what am I missing, what do I need to sort this out and where do I get it from??? any links greatly appreciated!

The lockring for the 20mm hub is different, and should come with the hub. To fit it you need a Shimano bottom bracket tool instead of a cassette tool.
This is a Saint hub but see that notched gold ring? That's the lockring. The SLX one is the same but silver/grey.

many thanks Rockplough - that made me look a bit more carefully in the box of stuff CRC sent... they had indeed hidden the 20mm lockring in a not particularly obvious place, but at least it was there!
